A style of play in which players compete using fundamental skills, such as movement, team tactics, and purposeful aiming, rather than rate of fire to win the match.
Sounds easy right? Think again. Most paintball markers use bulk loaders and air tanks to allow up two 250 balls to be fired before reloading the hopper, and upwards of 1000 shots before refilling the air tank. With Stock class, you get a 10-20 round paintball loader, and a 12 gram C02 tank thats good for MAYBE 30-40 shots. Oh, and did I mention you have to pump the gun once to load each shot?
The markers used in stock class paintball have a lot of requirements, as follows.
Now, all these things are simple to follow. A few companys make markers just for Stock Class play. The fisrt real "paintball Marker", the Nelsplot 007, was made in this format. This is why it is called "Stock Class".
So why play stock class? Why chose to play a harder style against better armed players? Simple. Its FUN. Many people chose to play pump/stock class becuase they find shooting 500 or more paintballs a game a waste. Others play for the challenge. Others yet play becuase they crazy. I play for a combination off all the reasons.
